About

Cline Cellar Vineyard

The Daily Barrel is based in San Francisco: we try to keep you updated with news and hints from the wine world. Don’t hesitate to contact us for any question related to wine and food pairings.

Our focus is on great wines as well as affordable ones, wine destinations and tasting events. But we also enjoy food,  so every once in a while we post about these topics because we have never met a winelover who doesn’t enjoy great food!!!

We are also passionate about startups and we follow the ones working in the wine industry; we interviewed wine apps and companies more focused on e-commerce and delivery. They are all working on improving the consumers’ experience and making the wine world less intimidating: they have all our support on this!

In June, only 3 months after starting this blog, we have been selected among the 5 finalists as Best New Wine blog 2015 from wineblogawards.com. It was a great reward for our work and we want to congratulate Social Vignerons on winning the New Wine Blog category.

Most of the posts are written by Michele Spampatti, AIS Sommelier and Italian winelover currently living in San Francisco. All the photographs are ours (@mspampatti and @sturbi), unless a different source is specified.

We encourage you to share your experiences with us on social media:
